being woken up by law enforcement is never especially pleasant, it’s pretty low on my nonexistent list of ‘ideal ways to wake up’ (with ‘failing to do so’ being near the top) and it’s only getting lower.

here’s a review of my latest EMT-Drags-Girl-To-ER-for-Literally-No-Reason Experience.

waking up to nearly five paramedics all crammed into the closet i call my bedroom at two in the morning was pretty jarring and only made worse by the fact that 90% of the observable population (there were about three in the other room) seemed really upset.. like this is my closet.. why are you guys so mad? Paramedic Guy #3 was especially annoyed and shouted at me to sit up as he yanked off the blanket i was  under.

after the last time this happened i did some reading regarding my ‘rights’ in this kind of situation and i tried to tell this large group of people that they could not take me to the hospital but i didn’t sound especially assertive so after angrily grabbing a variety of my belongings out of paramedics’ hands i was led to the ambulance (and on the way out i punched the glass of the front door which  naturally did not break and only made me look like an idiot).

i don’t know how long i was in the ER for because for the first time ever i had all of my belongings taken away from me which caused me to start hysterically screaming and crying. by the time i had spoken with all of the doctors and was ready for discharge i wanted to stay there, in the ER bed, because i was so tired.

this story ends as most ER-visit stories do, with Corben coming to pick me up and take me home like some kind of guardian angel.
