compleat stranger sat down next to me on the bus so i tried to mind my own business even harder but he waved a hand in my face so i took out an earbud and he, who never gave me his name, asked if i wanted to “hang out some time” (uh no?)  ………………“sure” (“how could you possibly think we have anything in common?”) and tried to persuade me to get off of the bus with him (“i live near  the dog park”). i told him i couldn’t and he said “maybe tomorrow?” (“definitely not”) “i don’t know my work schedule yet” so he handed me his phone and asked for my number and i was tempted to type in 666-666-6669 but i didn’t and instead stupidly gave him my real number and name and he asked where i was from “chicago” and he said he’d been there when he was in the navy and that  it was a “very, very cold place”

he had blue eyes and no hair and was probably in his late 30’s and vaguely resembled a fish  or somebody named "bill"
